Maybe because they think of Shia as a bunch of treacherous lying 'rafhidis' ... or whatever you call them.

Is it really that far out that Iran trained and equipped these guys? I don't think this is the kind of stuff they'll be able to leverage to justify an attack anyhow...
But there is no limit to how stupid this neo-con administration has been.

Well, looking at their track record, they don't need much at all to justify an attack. Plenty of spin docs are available and if they can't spin anything that exists already, they'll just create it out of thin air.

Hopefully the fact that almost all of their top dogs have been changed in the past couple of years will have an effect on that. Attacking Iran is the most stupid thing they could do for themselves.

Iran supported the growth of the militias and shelters their leaders, theres no doubt about that.
A bomb is not that hard to make and there seems to be no shortage of people in Iraq who know how to make them. I dont see how this particular bombing can be connected to the Iranian government beyond the indirect connection I mentioned.
The militias are out of control, they murder each other, they kill people over very petty things like insults, they've disintegrated into rival neighborhood gangs and warlords in many towns.. I find it hard to believe Iran could be directing the day to day actions of groups like that

Does changing the top dogs also mean that you've also changed the prevalent mood or warmongering mentality?

I'd bet my last banana that Iran has given them plenty of weapons... but to say that Iran was behind this latest incident - you couldn't make that assumption just from the forensics of the weapon used. But from the article they aren't doing that anyway.
But yeh, that looks like a major obstacle in the coming months - the militias.

Re: Shia criminals kill thier own and attempt to frame Sunnis!
even if syria and iran were aiding the rebelion with arms. it would be in thier interest to do so. its a page taken from general zia's handbook after the russian occupation of afghanistan. keep them busy and occupied in a neighboring country, and they wont attack your country. and if i was the govt advisor to either ahmedinajad or bashar al assad, i would be giving them this same exact advice. and if thier people had nothing to do with this, i would still be telling them to watch for the mossad agents running around iraq and keeping the situation destablized for years to come which only benefits the zionists.

I thought the militias have chilled out for now?
The situation in Iraq, alhumdulillah, looks pretty good right now. Looks like the troop surge did its work. I wonder how the situation will be once they leave though.
