She's just looking for attention now that the series is over. Seriously.
There's no other way to describe it. She wants to create new possibilies for fanfic.
But it's not her fault. Some of the fans are just maniacal and don't want to accept that it's over. She has to cater to them.

And here I thought all the characters were gay...

Re: Dumbledore was gay, says 'Potter' author
What she makes of the characters comes from her own imagination and she's left room in the books for other people to rely on theirs. It's like The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, i appreciated it because it was a good story, not because the author drew likenesses to the story of Christ.
I don't like the Harry Potter books anyway. Doesn't do much for me, once you read one of them, you've read them all:P

Re: Dumbledore was gay, says 'Potter' author
It's not the fact that she thinks he's gay, it's the fact that she's TELLING everyone about it which is really irritating.
Her thoughts on this matter just don't count because they're not in the books. It's one thing if being gay was part of Dumbledore's character from the beginning and was actually in the books. Leaving deliberate ambiguity is fine, it gives the reader the freedom to imagine their own explanations. But you can't leave something ambiguous in the book and then just take that freedom away from your readers the next minute by TELLING people what the 'real' story is. I'm sorry - anything that isn't in the books themselves, just DOES NOT COUNT.
Stupid woman.
Also, as the author she does not have the luxury of sharing her thoughts and imaginings about her characters in ways which are external to the story. That is for the readers. A real good book can speak for itself. Its author should keep their mouth shut.
