Actually no, not a good response at all. Such knowledge has always been around and a fatawa of takfir against those who commit such acts have too.
And what the hell kind of remark is that? Why now? Are you dumb? Its better late than never! Jaani seems to simpley dislike the fact this guy has had a Takfir done upon him, one which has plenty support. This is not to say the other actors don't have it, its just a specific one is yet to be made.

The Hanafi madhab is built upon what is known as the "case method." The case method involves deducing rules of law from actual real life cases. As such, unless a particular legal question is posed, an answer is typically not given so as to refrain from delving into purely hypothetical or theoretical matters. In this case, someone asked a specific question concerning Salman Khan's actions and a scholar elucidated the matter by giving a fatwa. Its not the duty of the 'Ulema to police the people; but if questions are asked to them, they give fatwas.

Bolywood movies suck anyway, and actors are usually very fake superficial people. I don't know why people get so obsessed with them anyway.

Re: Bollywood star branded Muslim 'non-believer' after Hindu festival
that's true jaani its not just salman, its the other khan's too, and the other Muslim actors as well who act like a bunch of jahil hindus by taking part in thier religious ceremonies, and that is completely wrong too. in fact the video link provided in the first post shows shah rukh khan teaching his kids 'bismillah' - in front of hindu idols.

Re: Bollywood star branded Muslim 'non-believer' after Hindu festival
Why are Muslims against pluralism? He is raising his children to respect both faiths and to promote the idea of unity between Hindus and Muslims in a country where they are at each others throats. I think it is a beautiful gesture in a world full of hatred. It is like raising a child to be biracial. He is giving them the best of both worlds.

There is a difference between teaching someone to be tolerant of other faiths, and teaching them to practice another faith. If you are Muslim, you must believe and practice Islam as the superior religion. If you are Hindu, you must believe and practice Hinduism as the superior religion. You can teach tolerance and cultural understanding, that doesn't mean you have to participiate in shirk. Hinduism and Islam don't mix.
