Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation - Oscar Wilde.
Wisdom is the supreme part of happiness - Sophocles.
A dream is the answer to a question we do not know how to ask - Fox Mulder.
As it is the characteristic of great wits to say much in few words, so small wits seem to have the gift of speaking much and saying nothing - La Rochefoucauld.
Wow.. Yes you did have me confused with someone else.. I think you were rather silly to make an uneducated assumption about me, call me a hypocrite and then neg me over it
And how am I a Nazi? Coz I said Islamically ears should be covered and so it is wrong to wear earrings in front of strange men?
I pointed out that I wear Hijaab and in the eye of more practising and knowledgeable Muslims I may be contradicting my Hijaab by wearing bangles, but I will be facing the consequences of that if there are any. I am the first to point out my own faults, something most Islamicans are too damn proud to do.
I also reiterated my point that I will never judge anyone based on their outwardly appearance, simply because a girl wearing the shortest skirt a tonne of make up could be a better Muslim than the most modest/simply Black Abaayah/Hijaab and only Allah SWT knows what is in our hearts.
The simple point of the matter is, the OP asked for the ISLAMIC perspective, and so I gave a opinion-less, emotion-less response while at the same time pointing out my own flaws and making sure everyone knows I shouldn't judge anyone else on their appearances coz nobody is perfect, least of all me.
Looks like Im gonna be stuck living at home for a lot longer. BOoooo!!
Nice to know the weather's nice over there.
Wasalaamzzz
