Ubay ibn Kaab (ra): Have you walked through a thorny path?
Umar ibn Khattab (ra): Yes, indeed.
Ubay ibn Kaab (ra): What did you do?
Umar ibn Khattab (ra): I tucked up (my garment) and did my best (to avoid thorns).
Ubay ibn Kaab (ra): That is taqwa.

I got a chance to go to Aden mall. It was crazy lol. The top floor is for women and the bottom floor is for men (and also women). Take a guess where most guys hung out lol. Aden was beautiful with the beaches, but I couldn't take the heat. We went to snowcream one night but they had just closed I was so sad. I wanted to try it.

I agree, its a completely different world over there. Alahmdulillah we got to visit a lot of places so we got a good taste of the country. MashAllah its such a beautiful place and it makes me sad to see it in that state. They could do so much with it. I took close to 700 pictures that summer. Random stuff most of the time. Oh and guys trying to be all up in your pictures.

Were you born there do just not have a lot of family here?

daroo3 and bakhoor Authentic Adeni bakhoor is the best, mashAllah. They also have the best daroo3 there. The most recent trip to Yemen was two years ago. It was such an experience, subhanAllah. We would go out to the sooq all the time and would do the craziest stuff. Me and my mom that is Well, it was normal to us but out of the norm for them lol. They just try and take advantage of you cuz you're foreigners and my mom and I weren't having it lol. Maybe I'll go back in another 2 years. Or in one, who know. Have you ever been there?

Haha I could've guessed Michigan. Theres a lot of people who have been moving here from Michigan. The community here is getting so big that you don't even recognize everyone anymore. Before, even if you didn't directly know the person, you'd know of them and their family. But now, mashAllah you can't keep track anymore. I'm from yafai. south side holla are you true adeni or did you migrate from somewhere else?
