wasalam lol i think you're being overly fearful of your dad's reaction than what it'd actually be. He might get upset for a few minutes, but that's better than hiding from him for the next few days! Also you only mention your dad, so if you used your mom as the "middle man" to tell him for you it'd probably be better haha.

haha true story: when i came back from pakistan (after becoming ridiculously addicted to apple sidrah), i emailed pakola company to ask if they exported anywhere in the US.
the sad part? they responded to me the same day they said they don't, but i should easily be able to find pakola (which i don't really like)
