This is the awkwardest thing.

you're in the grocery store, proceeding through the aisles in a consecutive fashion. at some point in the first few aisles, you lock gazes with a fellow customer briefly, maybe because your carts were in each others way while headed in opposite directions or something. then you both smile at each other or nod politely, continue about your business, reach the end of the aisle and turn into the next one..

only to find yourself face to face once again with the customer you almost bumped into seconds ago...

and until you reach the end of the store, or until whichever one of you decides they're done shopping, the same thing keeps happening. every other aisle your paths cross..the polite smile or nod turns into an awkward meeting of gazes as if to acknowledge, 'oh no, i've known you from a past lifetime'

i stalk people on facebook. not so much anymore though. its too complicated now. oh how i long for the simpler times.


oh also, i'm very very good at remembering names, faces, and random details about people.

In my defence she smiled at me and everybody knows that means "Omg lyk will you marry me?"

Now I have this inconvenient electronic tab stuck to my leg.

Damn thing won't stop beeping. It keeps me awake at night.

HAHA ya me too. it's super super awkward when you stop yourself mid-sentence...AFTER you've realized what a creep you sound like (and AFTER you realize that the person in question has confirmed your creepiness).

and then there's this whole awkward half-assed explanation given about how you're not REALLY a creep, you just have a very ..functional.. memory
