That is correct. Pocket Monsters is the Japanese name of Pokemon. Pocket Monsters = poketto monsutaa = pokemon

And yes, they are the notoriously incompetent crooks who go after the main character's Pokemon and haven't been able to steal anything at all for ten years running. x3 Dub names Jessie and James (named for Jesse James) and original names Kojiro and Musashi (named for Sasaki Kojiro and Miyamoto Musashi).

wasnt there this whole controvery about pokemons and how their names somehow say bad things about islam or something so thats why they should be banned or something....i think i was in fifth grade when that happened....

I think I was in third. Yeah, huge wacky mess. xD;

They banned them from Saudi for like a year. And now the anime is back on TV, dubbed by a different company than before. But you can't buy Pokemon-related things anywhere anymore, except for rip-offs and bootlegs. So it kind of still is. x.x;

The worst thing is it doesn't take even half a brain (provided you know a little English or Japanese) to realize they don't say anything bad. Oiii.

I was told that Charmander/Hitokage (the Fire type starter in Kanto) had 'Allah' written on the bottom of its foot and steps on it. Yeah, sure.

Funny, I had two dreams just before I woke up of my cat Snowy coming over to me soaked thoroughly (there was a third dream in there of Hunter J, but that was just random). She usually looked rather like that after I tried to dry her in real life. xD; She always took the longest to dry of our cats.
