Re: My thoughts of the day...
it's pretty easy to remember and talk about how fast a train wreck happens..but no one ever realizes how equally fast the ambulance gets there or how in comparison to the magnitude of the train wreck tragedy, how hastefully the passengers and the crew members seem to pick up the pieces and move on.

Re: My thoughts of the day...
Its very easy to take on the colour of the people you live amongst or keep as company. You keep reminding yourself you hate this and this and promise yourself to never let them influence you, but if youre not careful you're going to become exactly what you hate and take on characteristics you point to in others and label as their flaws.
and how can we be sure we haven't become already? what if its there, in your heart, waiting to manifest at the next opportunity? will you hate yourself too? is that when you start pointing towards yourself, or are you so stubborn that you turn a blind eye to that which you think you can see so clearly in others? whats that called? being blind or capable of seeing more than others?
i hope to god by the end of this my heart doesn't turn to stone and passive to injustice. i don't want to be that. I dont want to be the one that has a different standard for every person. If one cant do it, then neither can the other. Though its too easy to adopt their way and 'go with the flow'. There's no thinking involved, its very easy to let the waves carry you but its very difficult to fight against them. you're going to be screwed through hell and over. But that's the price your going to pay. and if you decide to take that path know that youre going to lose everyone else on the way, because the rest will 'go with the flow'.
Let me be just, Ya Rabba.

Re: My thoughts of the day...
man ihave so much work to do...its depressing lol
and spice there was a lot in that post i guess bad company is like a smoke in the room, regardless of how hard you try to avoid it - when you leave the room you'll end up smelling of it.
the test of piety and taqwa comes in - when your around people and can still maintain your principles and piety - regardless of what everyone else is doing - then your getting somewhere
sitting and learning from a murshid/shiekh would most definately help.
