We caught up, then she said "I'm doing an interesting case, you should watch". Well, I had just seen her on the schedule, so I had decided already to go into that OR. Even though I was supposed to be working on the anesthesia, she let me scrub in and operate. I made the skin incision and also closed. It was a type of surgery that has never been done before, as far as they know.
This is why I love plastic surgery.

What kind of surgery was it?

That's cosmetic, which is fun too. I've also seen plenty of wacky reconstructions, cleft palates, etc. Plastics includes both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Re: My thoughts of the day...
I saw a homeless person walking today carrying 2 huge bags, and I felt bad. Imagine being able to carry all of your life possessions, and having to take them everywhere you go. It reminded me of when I was talking to this homeless in downtown, and he was telling me how he has to find places to hide his clothes when he goes to work.
Then I went to a janazah for a brother who died in a gas station fire. That brother was just a few months younger than me. And it really angered me when a few muslims at the graveyard were smoking and chatting with each other while the imam spoke. To make matters worse, I turned on Fox radio after leaving and they're implying that the explosion showed "bomb-like characteristics." But wait...they're 'not saying anything, they're just saying.'

Re: My thoughts of the day...
Jaani, Gift shopping and shoe shopping... I haven't gone to dowtown yet. But when I do I'll let you know.
So like I really wish people knew how to communicate in my family. They say part of a story and than leave the crucial details out. Or when someone says they'll do something but don't. SO FREAKING ANNOYING. My grandma was goign so well but NO. They wanted to move her and now she's just sitting their. But inshaAllah khair. I guess I'll be there soon enough to take care of her.

Re: My thoughts of the day...
As my cold progresses, I'm now in the coughing stage and out of the sneezing/sore throat stage, inshallah.
But my coughs are just so...
