Good question. There's really no way to verify it. But I'll show you what I mean.
I converted to Islam on May 18, 2007 at 1:35 pm.
I flew on an airplane to Denver, Colorado at 10:00 am on April 14, 1999.
I was beat up by a group of kids on the Wednesday after winter break, 2000.
Saw the South Park episode "Ladder to Heaven" on November 20, 2002.
Got a 100% "A" on my Geography test: first day of school in 2005.
blah, blah, blah.

Just when I thought I had cleared things up. Please, please, let this be the last time I have to deal with this particular mess. Insh'Allah.

Many people say that I've been blessed with this "gift". I view it as a curse.

Re: My thoughts of the day...
I'm so at peace even though I have a gazillion things to do. And it's not the "I don't care" attitude, it's the "I can do it, Insha'Allah" attitude.
I love this feeling .
*silently woohoo's*

Re: My thoughts of the day...
Safia, I love that feeling too.. alhamdulillah. I'm not feelin it right now but I AM feeling like half my battle with this week's assignment is over. Alhamdulillah the debate went well, I finished the paper in time and the test was cancelled (not postponed, cancelled! ). Just 2 more days of hard work left to go (and 2 sleepless nights).

Yeah, the benefits of a poor memory are great.

Re: My thoughts of the day...
Last night around midnight everything seemed fine, I was sitting on the couch in my apt studying and after like 2 hrs I got up to use the bathroom and my right foot and ankle felt like someone had hit it with a hammer! This morning it still hurt in the ankle area but now it's subsided to a dull nagging ache that feels like someone is pushing something into the middle of the bottom of my right foot. I just got out of the shower and now it feels like my knees are about to give way.
I wonder if it has to do with the fact that yesterday I got stranded at the library and walked home, then walked to the student union and back twice (to study there)....then I got about 4 hrs of sleep and again speed-walked to class this morning and speed-walked home. Whatever the case I'm in dire need of a foot, leg and back massage and a long vacation from school

Re: My thoughts of the day...
[Qur'an]
{Never lose hope in the mercy of Allah} AlAhzab 39:53
[Lessons from this verse]
We get very hard on ourselves sometimes. And while there is
benefit in taking ourselves to account, the sunshine comes from
never losing hope in Allah's mercy. Allah's mercy and
forgiveness is able to emcompass whatever you have done. So
knock on that door right now.
With best wishes to see you succeed at the highest level!
