Hmmm... looks like you lost a little sanity when you met one of the lower level demons in the basement of the house.
RPG in the case stands for "role play game" and involves using dice to see if your imagined actions is carried to completion
I've played
MERP
Vampire
Mage
Cthulhu
Elfquest
And a few more whose names I can't remember at the moment
My sisters also ran a live action RPG for a while too, which means that you dress up in funny clothes and physically pretend to be something else, not mearly talk around a table.
I don't see how it isn't geeky.

It also depends on how people play the RPG's. If they are super weird people who say things like "Oh no, you can't do that, becuase on page 9 of the manual, it seems to imply that..." blah blah blah fighting with semantics because they don't really like people being imaginative, and can't stand not being in control, or perhaps even losing, then it's both geeky and irritating. Dude, it's a GAME you're supposed to have FUN! The most fun thing I ever did in a RPG was decapitate a troll, and then throw it's head at another troll, and by the luck of the dice I killed the other troll with a troll head. That and sommoning a big monster in Cthulhu that made my super awesome character go insane after just one session of play.

Diablo is the graphics version of Nethack, which was an expanded version of this game called Rogue, and yes I played it.
A lot of those other games are console games, we didn't have a console machine, just a computer. I tend to like dorky games, like tycoon type games, and I like Civilization a ton. I'm not good at violent games.
My granpas sister (Great Aunt) came to stay with us after she had hip and shoulder replacement surgery. She had a sega genesis machine, and she had MAD SKILLS for an old lady. Reminds me of that comercial they show now where they are playing a video game, lose and their grandma calls them loosers.
