On a serious note of course, bear in mind that Islam also advises Muslims to be social to a certain extent, because you should know what's going on with friends, family, community, etc. This has been stressed repeatedly.
Often, I'll go to a lecture or some halaqa or some conference or community picnic even though I'm not feeling it per se, but I'll still go because I wanna now how the Muslims are doing, I want to talk to them and be around them.
