Prayers needed
there's a halal pizza place that donates to our masjid all the time. they were robbed on eid day and one employee from uzbekistan was shot in the head. he's been in intensive care since then, but we've just gotten word that he's brain dead. sad sad sad
 pray for him and his family inshaAllah

When Sulayman ibn AbdulMalik visited Makkah, he asked if anyone was present who met the companions of RasulAllah (saw). "Abu Hazim," they replied. "Why is it that we dislike death? Why is it we don't want to die?" Sulayman asked. Abu Hazim replied, "Because you have built and established this world and you have destroyed your Aakhirah, so you hate to go from what you have established to what you have destroyed."

Deel, it was a Roma's pizza. not that halal one near the masjid. this Roma's was kinda in the masjid area, too, though.
so what happened was... it was on Eid. the brother prayed at the same place i did.he was at work at night and the guy came and held a gun to his head. i've heard he got nervous and pulled the trigger while the brother was getting the money out of the cash register. they didn't catch the shooter. he ran away with $3.00. the brother is brain dead and his heart is being pumped by machines. i believe his family is in Uzbekistan. if he does survive, doctors say he'll be paralyzed. so, make dua!
