K, I came back to check and respond to some PMs so I figure I might as well explain further to everybody. Sorry I made my original post in a hurry and then I was away for a bit (it's been a hectic few days; crunch time at school
).
For those going "I dunno what happened", well... nothing did. I think people are thinking that I'm mad about recent posts, but I'm really not.
LegalEagle Uncle, especially (I still think I was right in that thread; too bad it got closed... I didn't see the need for that): I'm not hurt. I've been on Islamica for years; I know that insults are pretty much par for the course.
I've engaged in them myself so I'm sorry if I ever offended anybody; I know I can be mean sometimes (that's something I'm trying to work on). So if I've ever hurt you, I apologize for that.
Please forgive me 'cause you know Allah won't forgive me till you do. Don't hold grudges.
For those going "We don't hate you"...
I don't hate you either! I don't hate anybody on here, seriously. We're all brothers and sisters in Islam and I always liked Islamica because we have such a diversity of people. And with that comes a diversity of opinions, and there's nothing wrong with that. Islam can accomodate different opinions. Islamica is like a little microcosm of the Muslim world 'cause you get all sorts of people and that's why it's great (I don't hate the non-Muslims either for those who're gonna point out that I'm obnoxious to Variable... he deserves it sometimes though
).
For those going "Ooh, you want attention": when did I ever make threads to get attention?
No, I'm really leaving and I thought it'd be nice to say bye instead of just disappearing.
I'd actually been contemplating leaving Islamica for a while. I just don't see the point of arguing with people online anymore. It's fun and all that, but it's getting old now and sometimes, it tries my patience 'cause it seems everybody's so sensitive after the crash (but patience is also something I'm working on). Plus, Islamica doesn't really do anything for my iman; it's just frivolous posting. Of course I enjoy posting here (Jammy). Frivolous posts are always fun, but like a couple of people said, you're more productive when you're not here. I find myself procrastinating a lot on Islamica and I need to stop.
So yeah, for those of you have my MSN, we'll talk. Others have me on Facebook so stay in touch. I'll be back eventually, I'm sure, just to say hey and what's up and find out who got married and had kids and got into med school and... died.
