DUAS FOR HEALTH AND DISTRESS
Rabbu inni massani-yadh-urru wa ` anta arhamur-Raahimeen
O my RUBB, SURELY ,DISTRESS HAS TOUCHED ME, AND YOU ARE THE MOST MERCIFUL OF THE MERCIFUL ONES.
Supplication when Sick
O God, to Thee belongs praise for the good health of my body which lets me move about, and to Thee belongs praise, for the ailments which Thou causest to arise in my flesh!
For I know not, my God, which of the two states deserves more my thanking Thee and which of the two times is more worthy for my praise of Thee:
the time of health, within which Thou makest me delight in the agreeable things of Thy provision, through which Thou givest me the joy to seek the means to Thy good pleasure and bounty, and by which Thou strengthenest me for the acts of obedience which Thou hast given me success to accomplish;
or the time of illness through which Thou puttest me to the test and bestowest upon me favours: lightening of the offenses that weigh down my back, purification of the evil deeds into which I have plunged, incitement to reach for repentance, reminder of the erasure of misdeeds through ancient favour;
and, through all that, what the two writers write for me: blameless acts, which no heart had thought, no tongue had uttered, and no limb had undertaken, rather, as Thy bestowal of bounty upon me and the beneficence of Thy benefaction toward me.
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household, make me love what Thou hast approved for me, make easy for me what Thou hast sent down upon me, purify me of the defilement of what I have sent ahead, erase the evil of what I have done beforehand, let me find the sweetness of well-being, let me taste the coolness of safety, and appoint for me a way out from my illness to Thy pardon, transformation of my infirmity into Thy forbearance, escape from my distress to Thy refreshment, and safety from this hardship in Thy relief!
Thou art gratuitously bountiful in beneficence, ever gracious in kindness, the Generous, the Giver, Possessor of majesty and munificence!
From Sahifat Sajjadiyya of Imam Ali Zaynal Abedin (as)
Mehnaz
Hadrat Aisha (R.A):-
Whenever Allah's Messenger (peace_be_upon_him) became sick, he would recite Mu'awwidhat (surat al-Falaq and surat an-Nas) and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two surahs) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.
(Hadith No 6.535) - Sahih Al-Bukhari

Huzaifah ALI
One of his prayers in sickness, distress and calamity.
O Lord, all praise is due to Thee for bodily health in which I move about. All praise is due to Thee for such disease as Thou didst cause in my body.
For, 1 do not know, O Lord, which of the two states is more suitable for thanking Thee and which of the two times is preferable for praising Thee. Either the time of health wherein Thou didst cause Thy pure Nourishment to support me; whereby Thou didst make me happy in earning Thy Approbation and Favor and whereby Thou didst strengthen me for such of Thy Services as Thou gayest me grace to perform.
Or the time of sickness, whereby Thou didst purify me and the blessings Thou didst confer on me, in order to lighten (remit) such sins as were lying heavily upon my back, by way of purifying me from such inequity as I plunged into, by way of warning me to be prompt in repentance and in order to induce me to try to blot out my transgressions? All this through Thy eternal Favor!
And in the meantime, what the scribes have recorded to my credit of pure deeds, which no mind has ever thought of, no tongue uttered, and no limb toiled for- only by way of kindness from Thee to me and of Thy gracious Favor to me.
O Lord, therefore. bless Muhammad and his descendant.
Make agreeable to me what Thou has, approved of for me. Lighten for me what Thou hast visited upon me. Purify me of the taint of that sin which I committed beforehand. Remove from me the evil results of what I have performed. Confer on me the sweetness of good health. Make me taste the coolness of peace.
Let my recovery from my illness be accompanied with Thy Forgiveness. Let my restoration from my fall lead to Thy Pardon. Let my release from distress be followed by comfort and my rescue from this affliction, by Thy Deliverance.
Verily Thou art benevolently Kind, bountifully Gracious, magnificently Generous and the Possessor of Greatness
