He had another, albeit minor, gall bladder attack last night. I am praying that there are no more trips to the ER- once they knew that he was already scheduled for surgery they decided to send him home. I am concerned that his gall bladder might rupture in the interim.
He did rest today and says he feels better. He's afraid to eat much because eating anything solid seems to make the attacks much worse, and the diet of broth and jello has caused him to lose a bit of weight. Again, many thanks for your prayers. If you would please remember him this coming Tuesday while he is in surgery. |

The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:30. I find myself nervous, and I know he must be although he will not show it because he doesn't want me to worry. I have been praying throughout the day, and have to trust that whatever happens it is God's will. I am believing for a safe surgery and good recovery.
We are reminded each day in so many little ways of the goodness of life, the blessings we receive in family, friends, and daily events. So often we are so busy we don't think about these gifts from God. I wonder why it is that it takes hardships to make us thankful for what we have but I guess that is how human beings are. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and will let y'all know the outcome when we return home tomorrow. |

He was able to eat real food for the first time in nearly 2 weeks (was on broth and jello diet) but I had to make soft food- stewed chicken, mashed potatoes, peas. Still he was very glad to eat- he said he missed my cooking. He is still having some pain but not much and as they performed the surgery via laperoscopy (probably misspelled that), he should be fully recovered in a couple of weeks.
Again, thanks to all who offered their prayers My husband also thanks you. |
