i dont think anyones asking questions just to be nosy. youre asking for advice, but the advice one might give depends on your situation...our advice about one part of the situation might not be very helpful. but whatever, thats your choice

i'd say the best way you can show your mom that youre mature and ready for marriage is to have a sit-down conversation with her and be honest about everything. hopefully you wont mind answering her questions, cuz im sure she's gonna have a lot of them

ditto what fatima said....sometimes you cant give the right advice without knowing a little bit more info to get a mental picture of whats going on. no ones trying to be nosy and get all up in ur business, hun. but to help you out with this kind of a situation you're going to have be a bit more rational and not resort to caps-lock screaming.

anyhow, in my opinion its best to have a mutual freind to help you out with this. if you guys didnt meet solely on the internet then u should have at least one mutual freind that can back you up when your mom needs reassurance to look into the guy and talk to him and stuff. i think every parent wonders how you met the guy/girl especially if they live in a different state. and you have to be prepared to face up to your parents reluctance and criticisms if they have any and accept them maturely without having any bursts and try to convince them in a mature manner without the whole "but i love him" deal.
