That's not true necessarily... let's say there are two girls and two guys... they could be like, monogamous with each other for 9 months and then switch.
Then they'd know exactly who the father was.

Other than taking a paternity test, how would one know that a child concieved in such a relationship was 100% his? What's to keep the woman from going with the other guy when she was supposed to be monogamous? Hmm... nothing.

Hmmm... but if you're married to one man, there is no reason to suspect that the woman wasn't monogomous. If you're married to two men, why would anyone think you were monogomous with one man over the other?

Because that'd be part of the rules.
Anyway, maybe we could up the ante, and make Rambo's head spin while we're at it, and say it has to be an inter-racial pairing. 
That way if the baby comes out chinese instead of black... you know who the dad was.
