Yeah, but that's a small change. Why would a religious person want to MARRY a non-religious one though? That's your whole life you're going to spend with them; you wouldn't want your religious values to be the same?
Is it about getting reward for bringing them to Islam or something? 'Cause this family friend of ours married a Hindu lady (sleeping with her before they were married) and felt good about getting her to convert. Dunno how that made sense in his head. Is it the same concept here?
There's no dearth of religious people, so if you want somebody deeni, then find somebody deeni.

Religious people not necessarily marry religious people. thats another misconception.
there are many cases of ppl becoming religious after marriage.

Yes, people change after marriage. It's possible that both weren't so religious when they got married and 15 years later as they're getting older, one becomes more religious. It happens often.
But why do religious people not marry other religious people?

Very true. I'd have to guess that it's because love blinds you. You think "I'll deal with this for the time being, maybe it'll work itself out in the end, maybe not. Either way, it'll be ok, because we're together." They don't realize, it won't be ok. Big things, those affect the way you live your life. I'd venture a guess that those types of relationships probably don't work out all that often.

no, I'd try to adapt but if we couldn't coexist, we'd have to get a divorce. and those two situations aren't the same at all..before and after marriage

Re: List one most striking thing about the opposite gender..
salaams to all
i just jumped to the last page(as usual) so im just gonna post about the topic of this thread and not join in whatever argument/disagreement thats going on.
what i find most striking aboutht eopposite gender, Hmmmm...
i really like to see neat,clean toes/toenails.
and what about women/girls who like to grow their fingernails?-its ugly- not to mention those that seem to think growing toenails and painting them is cool- well this refers mainly to non-muslim women- although ive seen muslim women girls do this stupid thing as well- dont know how they perform Wudhu.
and then theres the body- DAMN! some women/girls- they way they dress- i just feel like having my way with them right there in the street etc.no wonder Allah ta' Ala has commanded women to dress modestly.
and if the women/girl does not have a pretty/beautiful face, then no matter what else she has- it dont mean a thing.

there's love and then there's lust and every marriage needs both...you're getting too theoretical

'cleat' ? is that ghetto ?
fingernails are.... ahem... useful....
I quite agree. 2 hours on the stair machine thingie might get a girl lust but it won't get her love...
