Salam All,

I'm actually a member here, but decided to go anon for this post, mainly because its kinda embarrassing.

I recently was introduced to this girl by my family for the whole marriage deal. Mashallah, she's smart, cute looking, has a good understanding of the deen and a cool personality. Basically, what I want and I kinda like her.

But there is one aspect that bothers me a bit. I actually feel very vain and stupid for having this feeling, but honestly, it concerns me. She is, uh, quite flat around the chest region. Gosh, not really if there's any other way to say it.

What concerns me is that, marriage is not only important for long time companionship, but also to control our nafs. I want my wife to be the only women that keep me away from my eyes to wandering. I guess I can't help a personal preference in that matter, but at the same time, does that offset the rest?

I know a few of you are gonna roll your eyes at this post, and hey, its understandable. But I guess I'd appreciate either advice or words of comfort on the matter.

It's quite rare for a woman to be complete devoid of those assets, unless she has had them removed due to illness. It may be that she is small and also is covering modestly.

If it is really a deal-breaker, then don't marry her. But bear in mind that often a great deal of love comes after marriage, and often people look better and better to us. Also, the perception of sex and sexuality to the inexperienced can change a lot after one gains some experience in that matter.

Women's breasts tend to grow after pregnancy. Anyway, though I agree physical attraction is important in a marriage as you want to be able to be faithful to your wife and not severely tempted by every cute thing that comes along, zakk is right that if you enjoy her company and you two are compatible you will probably grow to appreciate her physically more and more. Also, you've already stated that you find her attractive and that it's just one physical aspect that you find lacking, so I don't think this should be reason at all for you to break things off.
