This may seem hard to believe from my posts, but I'm really shy. Hehehehe. So no, marrying a shy would not work and I don't find shy guys attractive. Like Sal mentioned earlier, there is a difference between being shy and having haya. Shyness in guys = sign of weakness. I like manly men.

The only time I would find it acceptable if my husband were to get emotional/teary eyed when seeing me is if I'm on the verge of dying or birthing his baby [which should also be considered on the verge of dying but whatever].
I don't think so, I remember once when I was overseas I went to get a food item from my neighbor cousin's house, the courtyard was open and I peeked in. I saw my cousin looking from a distance at his wife who had their newborn as she sang to her baby; she was done hanging the laundry.
MashAllah he had the most beautiful loving expression on his face and his eyes were shiny. It was such a beautiful moment, I didn't want to interrupt it and I simply came back later.
My grandfather's voice, 20 years later after his first wife's death, still becomes hoarse when he speaks of her, and it's always in the highest and warmest regards, alhumdullah. But he's not a shy man, haha--(he dances in flee markets and shamelessly tries to speak Spanish to gangsters LOLz) So I don't think the degree of haya/shyness has a correlation to a degree in love being expressed.
