Re: Girls: Would you marry a shy guy?
itz: meh.. I don't even cry during love stories! My sister thinks I'm a robot because I didn't cry during the notebook
Robot indeed.
I always cry anytime something is just so cute.
What always gets me is when a child cries out for his or her parents like, "MOMMMMM!!!!!!". Oh my gosh, I feel the sensation engulf my body and I just start bawling.

Re: Girls: Would you marry a shy guy?
I have never had the opportunity of knowing any straight guys that bawl about commercials. So I think such extremes isn't really under consideration unless I wanted to make a point by using asinine and outlandish examples.
But of course such insensitivity, judgmental and wide brushes of generalization about fellow human beings isn't something I think my lovely and beautiful Muslim sisters would do nor would I put my standard so low.
And Alhumdullah, I do concur on the point that crying because of death, etc, is natural--nevertheless, I do know some guys who stop themselves from that even. I think it's a dumbing down of a one of the most beautiful things about humans: sensitive and insightful intellect.
I wouldn't mind either if my husband sometimes just had teary eyes looking at me since inshAllah he would be apart of my soul.
ameen.

Re: Girls: Would you marry a shy guy?
Shyness is not a good attribute and should not be treated as such. Neither is arrogance or haughtiness.
peace.

Re: Girls: Would you marry a shy guy?
I like a man with confidence and a bit of charm ....
My husband is confident and charming.
I love him
If he were shy, I'm not sure... I don't think I like shy guys... I mean there is a difference between shy and introverted. Someone could be quiet but incredibly good at finding other ways to people.
When I imagine shy, I imagine someone with a lack of self confidence. I could be wrong, that's how it is in my mind.
