COLUMBUS, Ohio - Three couples got the Valentine's Day wedding they craved on Thursday, marrying at a White Castle in the restaurant chain's home city.
The morning ceremony at the burger joint, which features the slogan "What You Crave," involved a flower girl who threw salt and pepper packets instead of rice, and employee name tags on the grooms' lapels.
The cake resembled a White Castle tray holding three "slyder" burgers, fries and a drink — all made of cake and frosting.
Cyndie Nunamaker of Plain City, 17 miles northwest of Columbus, said she and new husband Brian Wilson opted for the alternative wedding because they love White Castle.
The nuptials were broadcast live on a local radio station, which paid for the flowers and other arrangements.

No no, those aren't the people who got married, tha'ts just a picture of a cupcake-wedding cake I found to illustrate my idea of a hamburger cake. There was no picture of the couple in the news story.

Well, if you're getting married in a hamburger joint, I think they should dress up in hamburger and hot dog costumes, and their groomsmen/bridesmaids should be fries and drinks.

Good idea, I'll go post it there.
I've never eaten at white castle, that chain doesn't exist anywhere I've lived. I guess they make a fish sandwhich though.

Its still probably Haraam..i've found that many Muslim consumer groups advise against eating anything in the fast food joints as the fry/cook all the food on the same equipment, so Pork items and fish items are cooked on the same appliances(without cleaning or changing the oil)..which sucks..because i used to eat the BK fish sandwiches when caught short...

but, fish sandwhiches are deep fried in oil, and bacon is cooked on the grill... how could they mix???  No wait, I don't wanna know, ignorance is bliss BLISS
