Obsession to 18th century romance
Salam,
My relationship with my fiance lasted four years, we were due to marry and it didn't work out. The guy's a complete arsehole. I have no idea why in the world I was in love with him. Anyways we broke up 3 months ago and ever since that I am obessed with 18th century british romance movies. I have watched them over and over again and I just can't get enough.
Is there anything wrong with me? Am I depressed?
Advice would be lovely...

First of all breaking up before getting married is better than getting married having few kids and then getting divorced. So eventhough in the begining you might be upset you understand that it is better that way.
I don't think this has to do anything with depression. Once you find somebody better and get married you will even forget about 18 century romance lol. Unless the person you marry likes 18 century romance too.

I made my husband watch the A&E (6 hours miniseries) version of Pride and Predjudice. I don't think you're crazy, you just have good taste in movies, that's all

Well, we can't tell if you're depressed solely from the fact that you watch these movies.
But don't you feel watching romantic movies makes you sad now? Or the opposite?

Re: Obsession to 18th century romance
I used to read Alexandre Dumas books at one time... and I've read a lot of victorian era novels.
Let's face it, romance in the old days used to be so noble. European, eastern and Asian.
