22 year old guy having sex with a 16 year old girl

Hi. Long time reader, first time poster.

I found this in a fitness forum.

A guy, 22, wants to have sex with a girl who's 16. I'm the dad of a 1 year old daughter. I am worried about her enough as it is, but I cant think of how much I'd worry about this if this was my daughter. I'm angry about this guy doing this, am I right to be angry? What would you do if your daughter was in this situation?

Okay, I had a look over that guys blog and uh... no I wouldn't be okay with it. Then again that guy had the mentality of a 16 year-old even if he was 23.

In general it really depends on the situation, after travelling a lot I'm finding that age is just a number and maturity is something independent of it. (16 is super young though)

But are you Muslim?

That's just wrong. 16 year old girls in our society are not mature enough to have sex. They need to wait.

they're not but they do so their parents need to teach them about protecting themselves instead of pretending its a non-issue.

My parents were very open an honest about sex, and scared the crap out of me when I was a teenager (warning me about pregnancy and STD's and such) it kept me clean. My mom was very pro-sex-ed. She felt that teenagers had too much sex becuase they were ignorant of the problems it causes. I think she's right. (that and hormones)

Your daughter is 1 stop worrying about her..the worst she's going to do is share a crayon with a boy. And his blog is stupid..filthy language...immature attitude... boring. I don't see the point in making a whole thread about this topic. We know its wrong...and of course everyone is going to be pissed if their daughter was in this situation.

the sad thing is if they want to do it, they'll do it. you can only talk some sense into the girl//guy and see where it goes...but ultimately, stupid is as stupid does. well, maybe i'm too harsh. i guess it depends on your upbringing. if neither of these people feel any sort of guilt or shame whatsoever from going ahead and doing this (let's not even mention, although not forget, the fact that in several states it's illegal to have sex with a minor...minor as deemed by state laws) then they're hopefully at least going to use protection and i guess ultimately they'll realize the error of their ways later on.

i'm not saying sex is bad, but it should be within appropriate guidelines.

I saw this exact same post on another forum I post on, except the thread title was "Am I right to be angry" or something. Also posted by an unestablished username. A quick search further shows that this same post has popped up on dozens of online forums.
