My idea....
HALAL SOUL FOOD RESTAURANT
It will have a mixture of Americana and Islam - first of its kind
Would you like some grits and cornbread with our Rajab special?

Its been done come to Paterson NJ.

Children saw Hodja coming from the vineyard with 2 basketfuls of grapes on his donkey, gathered around him and asked him to give them some.
Hodja picked up a bunch of grapes, cut it up into pieces and gave each child a piece.
"You have so much, but you gave us so little," the children complained.
"There is no difference whether you have a basketful or a small piece. They all taste the same," Hodja remarked.

there's a place also in manhattan that apparently is halal soul food (around 39th or 40th and 8th avenue) but as far as i saw it's just called soul food...so your idea has been done already. try again.
maybe a fusion perhaps? chinese and soul halal food? soul and indian food? |

Thats one of a few in that particular area. I'm not from there but I do go down that way quite often.

There are a few in Philly. Everyone would rave about how amazing the food was, but when I went there, I was SO not impressed. My grandmother cooked WAY better, heck, my mother cooks better, and she almost never cooks.

There's one called Uptown Renaissance, I haven't been there but heard the food is good.
