Re: Dorming
The other day, I was praying Isha in my dorm room. My roommate walks in with a girl (girlfriend, maybe?), and once she sees me, she literally runs out of the room.
He doesn't bring people into the dorm room any more.

Re: Dorming
My only experience with Roommates was in Syria. My first year, I had 3 girls, 2 from Azerbaijan and one from China and y second year, there were 7 other girls. A french Moroccan lady, 2 Russians, 2Chinese, a Malaysian and a British girl. The Malaysian girl was kinda weird. she lied to me a lot, but since she was this "golden girl" and I was this "troublesome" American, She got away with a lot.I thought one of the Russian girls was causing the trouble and I was kinda mean to her, but when I found out the truth, I begged forgiveness. I miss Syria

No, but I might as well have. Like I said, she literally ran out of the room.
To tell the truth, I've prayed in my Ninja suit before. (Hey, I'm properly covered, right?)

Re: Dorming
I traveled with people before, but I never lived with any of them for a year. This was my first experience, and I'd say it wasn't so great, but I learned a lot.
Thankfully, my flatmates aren't crazy, and they don't drink or bring in guys, so it was very comfortable that way.
There are few weird things, but I guess I can't judge the whole experience based on that. We all come from different backgrounds, so we obviously have different habits. Like I wouldn't leave dishes unwashed overnight. It disgusts me. But two of my flatmates think it's OK to leave the dishes for a week or more.
Sometimes there are miscommunication problems. Like once we planned to go out the four of us for lunch or something. Then one of the girls came and informed me that the plan is not happening. It seems nobody told the Chinese girl. She was so upset, she sent a text message telling the other flatmate that she was hurt and that her human right was violated.
I'm not sure how she defines human rights (and that too, Chinese human rights!) but I found that hilarious and scary at the same time.

I had a roommate once who left a frypan and plates filled with salan remnants in the sink right before she left for a three week trip to Pakistan over winter break. I was so mad at her inconsideration that I threw her pan and plates away. What was she thinking? That the dishes would magically wash themselves while she was gone?
In my first year of college, I had a non-Muslim roommate in the dorms who was unbelievably filthy. Old food, laundry, unmade bed, etc littering the tiny room. The worst was when she left a bouquet of flowers in a vase for three weeks. It stank sooo bad. One weekend, I went home. When I came back, there were splashes of alcohol mixers on my computer, my alarm clock and desk. I was soooo angry that I took her favorite CDs and scratched them in retaliation. The worst was this one time that I had left to go home for the weekend. I missed my vanpool, so I ended up walking back to my dorm room. She wasn't expecting me to be back until Monday morning, so when I unlocked the door, I found a guy with his pants off standing in front of her as she sat on her bed. Thankfully, I didn't see his parts, but in a split second I backed out of the room, shut the door and ran to a friend's dorm. The rest of the year, that guy looked so embarrassed any time he saw me, and she no longer brought visitors to the room. I was so glad when the year was over, to say the least.

Re: Dorming
I've been dorming for a while and i really dont like it much. I've gone home pretty much every weekend since i started dorming many years ago. I dont think dorming is the best idea for a girl if there's any way to avoid it, but i dont judge anyone. I do think it has an impact on marriage issues for girls but not as much for guys, which is probably unfair but thats just how it is.
craziest experience was my roomate bringing his nasty girlfriend to live with us for a week without telling me about it beforehand

Wow, that's scary!
But yeah, I know what you mean about the dirtiness of some people. My flatmates leave the dishes in the sink, too, and it annoys me so much. They keep piling up till there's no space for me to do my own dishes. Following my uncle's advice, I stopped using my dishes and - as awful as this may sound - I started using plastic utensils. Needless to say, the sink stinks.
Thankfully, I have an ensuite room. I would hate to share my bathroom.
