And whats the best solution to the problem of a hard floor ? Sleeping on a rug can be pretty cool

For me, quantity is already a problem...might as well not make quality an issue too. I don't think patients want a cranky surgeon who's only had 5 hours of terrible sleep. 
I will refrain from commenting on the utility of rugs.

You're going to be a cranky surgeon on less then 5 hours of terrible sleep anyway, might as well be comfortable 
Shadha, keep an eye out on Craigslist and check out unfinished furniture shops and Goodwill (especially for things like tables/chairs which can easily be refinished). Also, check out international grocery stores for better prices on spices, lentils and rice than you find in the grocery store. Best of luck. |

Goodwill stores, Dollar stores all have cheap good stuff. You can find decent furniture at Goodwill, also take a drive around the local neighbourhoods, people throw out a bunch of decent stuff, we got 2 couches and 2 little chairs like that.
As for meat depending on your area the supermarkets will have a select amount of Kosher stuff liek Hotdogs and Chicken nuggets, yeah they are unhealthy but when you're desperate you'll eat anything. Walmart carry Hebrew National stuff, i eat that when we don't have the cash to eat Zabiha meat.
Cans of storebrand tuna are dirt cheap and really tasty. If things get really bad ask your parents or even the local masjid for help.

Moving out is one of the greatest but challenging times ever. I loved and still love making my home and like yourself never rushed with the furniture or anything. 3 yrs later its all come together, just want to do my balcony up this summer.
This isnt a money saving tip but more of a mental one, i never ever fully comprehended how expensive it is to live out and it was a huge shock, especially when things start to breakdown or u suddenly need to buy something u werent expecting so just b prepared and dont let anything pull u down cuz trust me if u keep smart with yr money and time, u'll realise its not the end of the world and every hme is a work in progress.
