yeah, I know. I'm over it now, alhumdulilah. I had a little hissy fit, and I wanted to rant, so I did, and now I'm fine. Got more pressing matters for the time being. Thanks.

Do YOU do everything your parents tell you to - as long as its not against islam? I doubt it.

Do you really think listening to your parent's wishes makes you a mindless zombie? Well, it doesn't. It makes you a team player. The difficulty a lot of the youngsters in the West face is that they are too used to seeing "freedom" as defined by their Westernised counterparts. Society cannot function properly if everyone wants to be an individual all the time. You have to be part of a team. Family is the most important team. You are one member, so play your part, and make it a good one.

Yes, it does. burying your aspirations in order to please some type of sad, third world country mentality where happiness is only attained by following a specific check list is a waste of ones potential. I'm not saying I'm going to run off and do whatever it is I want whenever I want, with no regard to my family, but they shouldn't actually expect for me to live my life as they've planned out.

Thanks for the advice though, it has been taken into consideration.
