Better than having one when you're fat.

ummm.... no
It's better to be slightly overweight than underweight when it comes to pregnancy.

Being your correct weight is better than being skinny or overweight. Being skinny is not good, nor is being fat. It's not healthy either way.

Hey...I'm just saying. I'd probably find it a lot easier to get a skinny girl pregnant.

That's another matter entirely. From your posts, getting any woman pregnant (at least your part of the bargain) would be easy for you, be she 80 or 580 lbs.

actually, either too little or too much body fat can cause cycle irregularities, which in turn can cause problems with conception.

My sister just had a baby two months ago. She's incredibly skinny. Less than 100 lbs and about 5 foot 6 inches, maybe taller. She said that giving birth was pretty simple and uncomplicated. She didn't even need to take drugs.
Her doctors told her the same thing about it being easier if you're underweight than overweight. It also apparently is better if you're tall and skinny rather than short and skinny, which is probably helped her out.

Having a baby is a different experience for everyone. Even two women who seem to have the same body type can have very different experiences. This stupidity about ease of labor experiences being correlated to body type only serves to demoralize women, and give them more issues with their pregnant bodies.
My sister is thin and had horrible times with her labors. And I'm sure it isn't because of something being "wrong" with her body. To think that there is an ideal body type for the actual process of giving birth is a messed up idea.
The purpose of birth is to get the baby out of your body and into your life. And eventually, in modern times anyway, the baby is going to come out no matter what your size. It really bugs me when people start assigning values to different types of labor..... no drugs is "good", caesarean is "bad"...... THE ONLY THING THAT IS IMPORTANT IS THE BABY'S HEALTH AND YOUR OWN COMFORT. You don't get an award for having a vaginal, drug-free birth.
