awwww.
lysol rocks. i get so much satisfaction watching it purge particularly stubborn spots of dirt and grime. no matter how obstinate the bad guys are, lysol will triumph. squeegees are good too. i think i just like things which achieve swift and total elimination with minimal effort.

Re: Housekeeping
My fiance-husband helps out around the house
Ok, here's a tip!
If you want to get rid of a nasty odor, paticularly in the kitchen, use baking soda. Sometimes the rag that I use to wipe the counters smells funky and baking sode does the trick. Same goes with wiping the counters or cleaning things which had foods that have strong smells in it.

Turmeric stains are my enemy
Get 3% hydrogen Peroxide (available in any pharmacy), dip a cotton swab into it, and rub it off of the surface.

Re: Housekeeping
Put a few slices of leftover orange or lemon rinds in a pot of water, simmer for 1-2 hours.
The smell is amazing and it's a great alternative to store bought toxic air fresheners.

Re: Housekeeping
Alright, so we need to clean up before my parents arrive on Tuesday.
List of things to do:
-all the bathrooms
-laundry
-stovetop
-microwave
-the inside of the fridge
-dust everything
-sheets
-magic erase the kitchen cabinets
-sort the crap on the dining table
-vac all of upstairs and downstairs
-clean out the oven
I'm going to try to finish all that tonight, because tomorrow and monday will be cook days.

Any tips on how to get stains off clothing? Particularly tumeric stain. I tried soaking it overnight already.
