I heard that there was this ninja who was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon the ninja killed the whole town. Some of you really don't know what they are talking about. Homosexuality is not a social norm, it is an illnes and you can't cast people away.
My brothers and I had a childhood friend, we used to play together as kids. So he called my brother to renew the friendship and I was surprised to see him wearing islamic clothing and beard, because he was modern and quite unislamic in high school. So my brother tells me, that that he told him about his inclination towards man and that he turned to Allah for help and bekame devoted. He still prefers man over woman, but doesn't live that life style and prays that he changes. Every time I hear people from the community backbiting him, I stand to his side, becauase he is honest and never lies and helps people for the sake of Allah.
So it can happen to anyone, please don't cast those people away who are trying to get out of it. Some of us are tested one way and some the other.

Well there's no use in delving too much into hypotheticals but it's certainly a possibility thought I've thought about myself.
I would not turn my back on my child and do everything I can to make it easy for them but make it clear that a homosexual lifestyle is haram. The fact is, no one really knows what causes people to be gay but I'm convinced that some of it at least is not controled.
The best we can do now though is make dua for our children from now, yes, even before they are born. Our children have rights over us even before they are born so we should do everything we can from dua and other practical aspects to prevent this.
