AsSalamu' Alaykum,

My dream home would hands down have to be a Cape Cod.


If we have a bunch of kids [ahh] I would still want to stick with a Cape Cod, but obviously a larger version:

Anyway, that's not for a couple more years, in the meantime- it's only a few more weeks before we start our hunt for an apartment! I'm excited. I already started looking at some pieces of furniture. We're on a real tight budget, but I'm being a good sport about it!, so I'm looking towards Ikea & Pier 1 to furnish our apartment. The main colors I'm looking at is wood and pure crisp white [pink &/or yellow accenting].

Add a few pillows [such as 1 & 2] to the couch and it's the set. Oh oh and this Armoire from Targets Simply Chic is GORGEOUS



Since I plan on adopting a kitten once we settle in, InshaAllah , I thought this, from WalMart, was a pretty nifty way to slightly conceal the litter box. Of course I wouldn't have it all up in the kitchen or family room- but instead in the laundry room or bathroom.

we just got a 6 chair, rectangular version of this table with leather seats that are the same but look more normal..i picked it out




the chairs look more like this



the top is grey marble and im thinking a light red ceramic dinner set for it..like for guests, not regular use because ceramic isnt practical..but i loooove how it looks

im a little too much into dark colors when it comes to interior design..but i do really love light colors..they make the room look much bigger and healthier..rooms that are full of dark stuff looks crowded etc. but the trick ive found to work with that is to add mirrors..lots of mirrors. they give the illusion of a bigger room

haha, are you serious? i'd have no trouble telling time like that. ive stared at clocks all my life..so i feel i could tell an estimated time looking at a non numbered clock

that clock looks like a little past 10:10

and mostly these kinda things serve as decorative pieces anyway.. i doubt people use actual clocks to get by anymore.. it's a digital world

It's not that I'd actually have trouble telling time but I think the absence of numbers would drive me crazy. It tries a little too hard to be modern
