its not the money at all. i wouldnt expect one women to be able to do all the cleaning, cooking, taking care of kids etc of a house that big all by herself. my aunt would have died.

Yea. Welcome to the club.

Usually in houses like that you have enough family / great / living rooms to accomodate friends or business associates at very short notice, without disturbing family. And in any case, I'd always expect my friends to call anyways, before they came - its the equivalent of knocking thrice on your door and waiting for permission to enter.

It's not that big of a deal when people drop over if your house is reasonably clean. The house we're renting is about 2700 ft but we have some strategically placed curtains and sliding doors up.... and I have my big old batman cape hijab that covers up even short sleeves. The only thing is when the house is a mess, but if it's just toys then blame it on the kids!

i want a garden too. inshaAllah. i wanna get pakistani jasmine plant seeds..and grow em. theres nothing quite like it.

and i want birdfeeders cuz bird chirping is cute and like so natural surroundingesqe..and also cuz i like birds. plus waking up to birdchirping is cute. and birds are pretty

i wanna japanese garden/sand garden too.. but itd prolly be really costly plus we'll have to take the climate into account before having something like that i assume...what if its windy, youd have sand everywhere..on the nicer plants/flower

i love gardensssssss and fountains. and fish
