We're getting a new apartment soon inshallah! The hubby's company will be providing furnishings and such before I even get there (I wish I could have picked them out myself but oh well) so I want to add "finishing touches" like maybe changing the wall colors in some of the rooms, adding picture frames or paintings, drapes, rugs etc etc... I'm soooo excited and I need some nice ideas!

The thing about outrageous Interior design is that you spend all that money redecorating it but get tired of it quickly once the exitement wears off

That only happens with 'modern' design since what is 'modern' is constantly changing and thus so is the 'modern' design.

Anyway, this is so freakin cute:

And this is a Victorian Coat Rack from Target for 100 buckaroos:

That's not true - there is plenty of outrageous traditional design - ever been to Versailles?

I dont think it would be as bad if it came in different colours. But I wonder how sturdy it is. I dont think it could hold up more than a few coats.

I want to use similar furniture for our apartment inshallah. Here are a couple of pics that I'm getting ideas from..

I like the wicker look, really casual and summery

Nice and simple

Really unique and I LOVE the shelf!

I LOVE decorating bathrooms, especially bathrooms with windows...

Got to be the most awesome showers I've ever seen
