I just traveled with them on planes. They were sooo good. And while walking through the airports, I had the top of their carrier open and they were sticking their heads out and I had a lot of people stop me and say, 'Beautiful cats!!' or 'Wow, your cats are so beautiful and well behaved. Mine would jump right out of the bag!!'

And no, they're not wimpy. Just very obedient They get naughty but fix their act when told to do so.

They sit on command and understand the meanings of the words 'down', 'out', 'come' and 'no'

They also 'stand' up and touch a treat if I hold it above their heads and tell them to touch.

Say Masha'Allah I'm working on teaching them other things too. If we're eating on a floor mat, they don't sniff the food or bother us anymore. They used to but now they're trained and just quietly sit and watch us eat. Though they do look at us with that cute, don't starve me kind of look.

I was going to take them on a roadtrip and have them stay in a hotel with us but we changed our plans. But yeah, I was pretty confident about their not being a burden or anything.

And obviously, they're well aware of their names and respond to them and come out of hiding if we call them. Unless they're sleeping.

Edit: I didn't get my cats declawed because I think it's inhumane but I was wondering if anyone here has. If you're considering it, there's actually a substitute for declawing and it works pretty well from what I hear. You can buy little plastic mitten type things for cats and make them wear it around the house, but the downside of that is that they can't scratch themselves and may have trouble doing other things.

Pet-proof your house by looking for items that may be dangerous to them. These include cleaners, antifreeze, automobile coolant, and rat poison.




The fumes from moth balls destroy a cat's liver cells. Use cedar in your closet instead.

aww i miss my kitty

i had to give him away last year because my stepmother was afraid of him (he was really energetic and loved to "attack" people). ive thought about getting one again recently..my apartment building does allow pets...but the only thing im concerned with is how small my place is...i dont know where id put the litter box. the last thing i want is my whole apartment to smell like cat poo.
