She still craps and whizzes on the floor but we put the cardboard from packs of water down and she seems to gravitate to those now. She can't manage the litter yet, but soon inshaAllah. We have to bathe her with this special shampoo, the vet wants us to put her to sleep ebcause we basically can't pay for her treatment, so we have decided to nurse her and see how that goes, if she seems to be suffering (which alhamdulillah shes not anymore) we will put her to sleep.
Pray a dua for our cat Lucy.

Alhumdulillah you are doing a great job with Lucy and inshAllah she'll make a full recovery so that she won't have to be put down

your cat must be my cat's long lost cousin! i thought my cat was the only one who did all that. the drooling is especially nasty. sometimes in the morning he'd come stare at my face while im in bed and little drips of drool would land on my forehead. it's very effective at waking me up tho.

Re: Cat Talk
Well if those brown marks I was askin about earlier are bogey's, I was gonna say - get a softened earbud by soaking it in warm water and just pull it along the nose and inshAllah the dirt will come off too.. Same goes for the eyes.. Plz don't let them scare you, you jus have to hold them down gently but firmly so you can do it real quick so it's over and done with efficiently

I know! he jumps up on my bed in the morning and shoves his face against mine so I pet him and he starts purring and drooling on my face. it. is. so. gross.

I don't think it's allergies. my cat used to have that eye crud all the time when he was little. you can sneak attack when they're sleeping to get it off. they grow out of it.

Re: Cat Talk
Guys I'm about to cry...
I'm leaving my babies (who celebrated their first birthday on Monday by the way ) home for a whole month.. My Dad will be here but he'll be at work most of the time and when he is home he'll only be eating and sleeping..
So yeah< I get the feeling they know we're going away coz they're acting all sad and stuff..
I feel so bad.. I'm gonna miss them so much - even more than my Dad!!

call animal control. if you can't find the number, the police department should be able to help you.

Re: Cat Talk
We got a few weeks old kitty two years ago from our family friends. He was potty trained and pretty well mannered and we all loved him in the begining... like he'd jump on my bed early mornings and wake me up with his meows when he was hungry...and he'd go around and sleep on people's lap as we watched tv in the living room and would play with our feet and the ladies dupatas...but needless to say he just developed some really irritable habits, like he'd start scratching leather sofas for fun, get on the dining table and sniff food as we ate, etc. he was growing up so we couldn't blame him. but he started going for long walks around the neighbourhood so we decided to get rid of him eventually. since we were all planning on getting rid of him ... giving it to someone we know, a few days later, he actually disappeared...into thin air. and no, no one in the family actually gave him out to anyone. That really shocked us all. We looked around for a couple of days but didn't find him. I was like, maybe that smart lil mo'fo heard our talk and managed to escape on his own in advance? We asked around the neighbourhood but found no signs of his. We had him for nearly six months...and everyone was pretty attached to him. I thought he'd return after a few days....but he never did...even I missed him.

See, deserves you right. Poor little thing. You don't how stressing it is for cats, especially kittens to be given to someone else like that. I wonder what happened to him though? What if he died?
Anywayy, I'm back from my week long vacation and alhamdulilah my Cat is still alive and healthy, he was being taken care off. He kept on smelling me and touching his nose and face with mine. I missed him so much.

Re: Cat Talk
My cat plonks himself smack bang in the middle of the sofa. It's only a little 2-seater and he'll stretch out so you can't sit either side of him.Thinks he's freaking royalty.
