Awww. Yeah, my shoes and my books too.
I have no furniture in my room apart from my bed.

But I use my little brother's closet too as storage space for the clothes I'm not using, for the season. He has a walk-in one all to himself, that's why.
And I have to take out all my winter clothes. I've been putting it off, 'cause my fall clothes are pretty warm and it's not exactly winter yet.

I need more hangers though.

Lack of space keeps my clothing collection down to a humble size.

For organization I use those stacked hangers to hang my trousers and jeans. Usually holds 3-4 pairs per hanger and is a space saver. T-shirts are on hung on hangers two at a time . My hijabs are matched with my abayas and hung on the same hanger. The extra hijabs are folded and stacked in a drawer or the likes. Shoes are on the closet floor or stacked in containers. Purses lined on the top shelf. Also have a luggage under the bed with out of season clothing.

My closet is the same size as a coat closet, not exaggerating. So, I have to make the best use of every little space.

in general, i prefer hanging to folding. so i hang up pretty much everything except pajamas and socks and stuff. as far as hijabs go...ive searched for the best way to organize them so that theyre accessible but neat. so far, my favorite way is to use garment hangers (i think thats what theyre called?) theyve got tiers that rotate out so you can easily see what you have and get it off the hanger without messing up all the other ones you have on it. each one can hold like 10-15 hijabs depending on how many you put on each tier.

i took some pics to show my friend a few months ago cuz i suck at describing the hangers and she had no idea what i was talking about...so ill share them with you all too in case no one knows what i meant

I've been accused of having an obsessive compulsive disorder for organizing. From the shopping cart, to putting it on the belt, to my clothes, to the food pantry, to how my food is placed on my plate...a bit extreme. At work though, Alhumdulilah, my ODing behavior is making me stand out from the crowd and be noticed by my superiors. Yay.

Closet, left to right, jackets, sweaters, work pants, non-jean pants, jean pants, non-jean skirts, jean-skirts, tube/halter/tanktops, half sweaters, work shirts, long sleeved shirts, long shirts, and finally abayahs.

So, my clothes hang in a rainbow.

now that i can wear abayas..I was wanna empty out my closets and throw everything out the window..just abayas n hijabs...how perfect and simple my life would be..sleep in abayas, go out in abayas, eat in abayas..and even get married in abayas(seriously..i wore this stylish french cut abaya..which was absolutely gorgeous..so i had to order one) it felt n looked more like a dress than an abaya...


i say all this 'coz...for example; today im weairng my gorgette brown skirt with a dressy top..underneath this top..im wearing a same color long undershirt.coz the upper one is short..then i got my brown boots and brown hijab..

sometimes..fiding a long sleeve shirt..or long shirt becomes a hectic...so i double up...a long sleeve underneath the shirt i'd wear...so hectic..those who know the simple beauty of an abaya would appreciate its true convienence..

My system is a bit nuts.

From left to right:
Work shirts, organized by increasing sleeve length (rainbow color organization within each group)
Work pants, with the nice ones grouped together on pants hangers; khakis on regular hangers; again, both sets organized by color
Suits/formal western clothes, including dresses, by increasing length
Casual shirts, organized by increasing sleeve length (rainbow color organization within each group)
Casual pants, by color
Formal desi clothes, by color

Tops, dresses, and shalwar kameez all on white hangers, pants on black hangers

Pajamas, sweatshirts, cotton shalwar kameez on the upper shelf, but half of it is taken up by luggage
Shoe rack for shoes, all organized by style, with more casual ones towards the bottom; top shelf of rack is for scrubs and cheapo t-shirts to wear underneath
Boxes, extra blankets, etc on the closet floor

Casual and nice sweaters in a plastic container next to the closet

It sounds a lot neater than it actually is, I swear.

my husband and I share our closet, so I have to be organized. I used to have my frequent use scarves on a scarf hanger (hanger with round holes for you to put your scarves through) and the rest in a box. This weekend I bought a hanging shoe rack, and I organized my scarves by color in all the shelves. I hope it will work well to keep my scarves less messy.

i have too many clothes. i am tired of organising and re-organising. everytime i sit down in a determined fashion to donate stuff, i end up going through some really old, gorgeous outfits, thinking: wow, this cost me an arm and a leg, i just need to find the right occasion to wear it on...can't throw that. it was much easier when my mum used to stomp into my room, open my closet and do it for me.

Yeah, ummm... winter clothes are nowhere to be found. Not the kid's closet, not my closet, not my big brother's closet, not my parents' closet, not the extra boxes in the laundry room, nowhere.

Lost them in the move, I guess.
