This was a great thread before the crash.

Things you should never do when you father is angry. Just list one thing, so this thread will last more than an hour. I will start:

You're a teenage girl, and your family wants to go to Hajj, you don't want to be unclean any days of Hajj, so you need some medication.

Your dad comes home from work after nearly being fired, and you figure this is the perfect time to have "the talk" so:

You tell your dad about how you're "growing up" and need protection "just in case" (don't mention Hajj or anything) since so many people are doing it these days (in your mind you mean, using the pill durring Hajj, but don't tell him that) and tell him you made an appointment at Planned Parenthood, and you need him to take you and sign the consent forms so you can get The Pill.

Last time I was in NY I said something to my dad (not disrespectful, just that I was going to do something) and he gave me his scary big eyed angry look. I said "Dad, that doesn't work anymore, look I can do it too!" and gave him the same look. He was trying to maintain the look without bursting out laughing.

Although I don't recommend antagonzing your dad until you're well out of the house.
