Lifting the Veil
How could you find the views quoted directly from the websites that you linked to be "propaganda and rhetoric?"

RAWA has documented and open association with the Pakistani MKP and was allied with RIM in the past.

Here is an article from a mainstream Islamic website - written by a woman, in case you find that relevant - where mainstream Sunni scholars such as Hamza Yusuf et al share their views. Please note how before it delves into any matters of politics or propaganda, the first items listed on the navigation tab are The Quran, The Basics, Prayer, Prophet, and Ramadan.

An Agenda of Disdain: Cultural Imperialism and the Western Media View of Afghanistan

Lifting the Veil (proudly uploaded by ProudArmyDad) is about post-Taliban Afghanistan and much of it addresses circumstances that have nothing to do with the Taliban. It also has its own share of "rhetoric" and "propaganda" to boot (one only need look at the title - it doesn't get much more condescendly Orientalist than that).

When it comes to Afghanistan's women, the health effects of the Taliban regime were very bad. Somehow the Taliban managed to take what was a destroyed society and make it even worse for women's health and mental health

Putting aside all the politics and all the religious mumbo jumbo, health indices are usually a good way to draw conclusions about the overall effectiveness of some regime's policies, especially when the changes are so striking and so sudden

Bringing the politics and the mumbo jumbo back into the equation makes the taliban seem even worse

You know I couldn't care less about the politics of RAWA as long as they are trying to address the wrongs committed by the Taliban and others of like mind towards women and men of their country.

The video, was made by a muslim woman who went to Afghanistan to find out for herself what life is like for the Afghan women now in post Taliban Afghanistan. It is still quite desperate and the women are treated most abjectedly. If you took off your pro Taliban glasses for a moment you would see that. What do you think of the treatment of that widow by those men in the last video? Absolutely disgusting that men would hold such views towards these women.

Women are burning themselves alive in Afghansitan. Why?

you are absolutly correct. what the taliban did to the shia, we wouldnt want having done to the sunnis who live in Iran, lebanon or Iraq. everyone has a right to practice thier faith, in anyway they see fit without any government interfence, even if you are a wahabi, but no one has the right to push thier set of beliefs onto everyone else.
