There's a LOT of difference between practicing law and being an academic lawyer

I've known people who were fantastic academics but complete failures as lawyers because they were unable to explain the key points and suggest a practical course of action to their clients.

You do get a lot of legalese, but you'll pick it up along the way.

The only advice I'd give you is not to apply to law school unless you really want it. Its not as hyped up as people make it out to be. Why do you want to go to law school if you don't mind my asking?

Ya, she is a hardworker... just not all that aware sometimes. She also minipulates people though and gets their outlines by acting dumb (I don't know how to do this, I'm so lost in class). People picked up on it and stopped being fooled.

Anyways, back to the thread topic there was once upon a time when I cared about these things. I don't know what happened but I've become so apathetic in the past couple of years (law school much? or maybe a burn out) Probably the latter, who knows...

I'm working on a separate research project concerning institutional racism and minorities, but thats a whole different topic from ethnic and racial cleansing.

As for Mexicans in the Great Depression, they were kicked out, they were systematically killed. So far as I'm aware, ethnic cleansing does require violence, or it's just relocation.

If you're going to argue that even non-violent relocation, or non-government mandated persecution of minorities is the same as ethnic cleansing, than the Muslim world has a HUGE problem. Be careful with your definitions.
