That's pretty common in the Mid-east ... and up in Kashmir they go one step further and smear the broomstick with the most volatile spices they can find.

Not necessarily. It's just that in many countries in the mid-east and asia, sodomizing a male prisoner is the equivalent of rape on a female captive.
