You mean, like a coded signal to al-Qaeda or something?

Re: Clinton asked to iron shirts
Yeah, could be rigged. Hmmm.
Obama makes vague references to his race, but never says it outright. I wonder if he's gonna change that as things get more heated.

Re: Clinton asked to iron shirts
i don't know why people think there's any hidden meaning. "iron my shirt" is pretty clear and direct in its intention (assuming it wasn't just a stunt set up by hillary's campaign).
personally, i don't know why he'd ask hillary clinton to iron his shirt. it seems like she'd suck at ironing. i think "learn how to iron my shirts properly" might've been a better heckling phrase to go with.

How is sending shirts out to be laundered the sign of a radical "feminazi?".
Anyway, I doubt it was staged. It's not like she needs to highlight that she'd be the first female president should she get the nomination and eventually win.

Yeah, but she doesn't have the nomination yet.
And such a stunt would (and did) draw media attention to her - when she was perceived as being behind Obama, no less. It was positive media attention, because the guys that are doing it are almost cartoonishly boorish and stupid. And she gets to respond with a quotable soundbite.
This could have an effect the currently ambivalent/ambivalent Democrats and cause sympathy, arouse a bunch of "you go girl" sentiment, etc.
I'm not saying it was staged, just recognizing the possibility.

Ambivalent individuals could certainly be influenced one way or another by sympathy, especially if they're women - women tend to be more likely to be influenced by sympathy than men. Especially if they see it as a sexist attack by male chauvinist pigs against one of their own.
The incident gained a lot of publicity & unquestionably helped her image.. and elections are 90% about image. It's reminiscent of Giuliani answering his phone and calling his wife "sweety" while giving a speech in front of the NRA.
