I feel like you're setting me up for some kind of Jinnzatrap akh
There's no getting around the fact that Dems and Repubs are operating on completely different policy platforms......platforms that are executed and which subsequently drive the market itself. Yes there is quite a bit of responsiveness to the realities of the global marketplace but this doesn't change tax policy, budget decisions, investment focus, economic policy, infrastructure development (or dismantling) etc.
4 years of McCain and 4 years of Obama will look incredibly different. This isn't to do with the cult of personality around both individuals either...but rather the foundational policy differences between these parties.

Yeah, I caught some of that. Okay, I caught quite a bit of it before I decided to go pray instead.
They're not going to win.

Re: Official Election 2008 thread
here's that RNC 9/11 tribute video in case anyone missed it, followed by olbermann's comments. note also that mccain began speaking at exactly 9:11 PM CST..
YouTube - The 9-11 Tribute at the RNC - And Olbermann's Reaction
youtube comment: Good thing there's a piano to let us know which parts are sad and which parts are hopeful. Thank you piano.
i really think showing that video at the convention was history in the making... if they hadn't offended "community organizers" enough by this point, this video really should just be icing on the cake. i'm almost positive they lost quite a bit of votes after this. i expected the republicans to exploit 9/11 and i thought giuliani's speech would be the worst of it.. but they really will stoop to the lowest level possible to get votes. fear, women voters with palin, hockey moms, conservative bible thumping cowboys, you name it.
edit: i'd like to add that the more i think about it, the more upset and livid i get. i think my brain may implode.

It's revolting really, almost unbelievable... almost. I'm glad there was someone there who'd say something about it.

The Obama campaign said tonight it broke its single-day fundraising record, raising more than $10 million in the 24 hours since Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin gave her speech.

Using 9/11 videos as a tactic for fear mongering might be tasteless, but 9/11 footage has been shown so many times in so many contexts, including identical promos run by Bush in 2004 and lots of congressional candidates in every election cycle, as well as identical promos run by many of the republican candidates during the nomination process. I find it difficult to believe that Olbermann's reaction was genuine. This dude is the grandmaster of feigned outrage. O'reilly is close, but Olbermann tops even him in this category

In one of McCain's interviews with abc he actually admitted Palin has never left the country. His attack on Obama was "But my opponent has never visited south of the border". Did anyone see Palin's daughter spitting on the baby's head and spreading it all over? totally grossed me out...

Careful Mossad....he might put you on the "Worst Person in The World" list. He's a drama-queen but his show addresses alarming topics most opinion shows won't touch...eg I remember Countdown was one of the only mainstream outlets discussing FISA....and truthfully we should be outraged by this administration.

Did anyone else find it unusual how they started off with the Iranian hostage crisis? That had absolutely nothing to do with the al-Qaeda and 9/11. Propaganda at its finest.
