i don't really like obama, but i have to say, he's a very very skillful politician. he seems to have a teflon hide, and it's starting to look more and more like he's going to take this election. i can't see mccain winning it anymore.

Screw thee elections, i'd never vote.
all the candidates are freakos
and there should be a rule

*The president elected should not die of old age in office*

This is regarding McCain

It's funny how Obama is out there actually doing something and visiting all these countries while McCain sits here and whines about what Obama's doing (someone wrote into CNN with a similar sentiment that got me thinking about that). McCain needs to stop riding his POW/supposed-war-hero-thing...that was freaking 150 years ago, get over it!

I like Obama but if there was another better candidate I wouldn't vote for him...truth is thought that he's the better of the two options. And I think trying something besides a middle-aged/old white male would be nice.

sixpakistan's rule for determining the outcome of modern elections: the candidate with the most google (or live) matches wins

Results 1 - 10 of about 62,700,000 for "barack obama". (0.19 seconds)

Results 1 - 10 of about 37,500,000 for "john mccain". (0.14 seconds)

that is an absurd advantage for obama, especially considering mccain has been in the press/public eye for far longer than he has (even if you start counting from the google epoch)

i've heard the phrase "an historic election" so many times that i'm getting sick of it. i think they just like vocalizing the N in 'an.' anyway, i was always under the impression that obama had the clear advantage over mccain. after 8 years of a republican in office, it's no surprise that people are leaning towards the democratic candidate (even if they're republican themselves). it's as simple as that for me. sure, there are people who are racist enough or prejudiced enough to not vote for him because of his race, alleged ties to islam, etc., but i think the people who are motivated to vote for him because of those reasons far outnumber the others. it's just a whole lot more younger people planning on voting than in previous elections. simple. i just wanna know who's gonna be vp.

he may win the POPULAR vote, but it remains to be seen that whether he will win the ELECTORAL vote which is a candidate's ticket to the white house.

Bryan Gordon: McCain Should Appoint Me Secretary of State

Quote:
I just want to put my hat in the ring for secretary of state in the McCain administration. I'm married. A family man. Have a daughter. Believe in God. Love baseball, ice cream, and I've been active in my daughter's car pool for over ten years. I love how Mrs. McCain so articulated Sarah's Palin's qualifications by saying that she knows national security because she lives so close to Russia. Good point.

I too know national security having visited Russia twice -- once to St. Petersburg as part of our extremely amorous honeymoon and another time to Moscow where I was writing an article on the World's Best Borsht. I have executive experience having overseen my neighborhood's annual block party for the past sixteen years -- dealing in areas where some of my neighbors have been unruly and uncooperative. On my street, I always have opted for diplomacy, rather than take out my gun and force some of my neighbors to participate. There was one incident and that was years ago -- where I got ahead of myself, and punched out a neighbor who was coming on to my wife. That was stupid. I should have shot his ass.
I welcome the vetting.
