'Operation Kalank': Modi backed rioters in Gujarat

New Delhi, October 25: Tehelka.com on Thursday claimed it had "irrefutable" evidence that the killings of Muslims post-Godhra train carnage in Gujarat was "not a spontaneous swell of anger but a genocide" planned and executed by top functionaries of the Sangh Parivar and state authorities "with the sanction" of Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

The magazine's Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal said at a press conference that it had done a sting operation over the last six months by talking to a number of Sangh Parivar leaders, including Godhra BJP MLA Haresh Bhatt, Shiv Sena leader Babu Bajrangi, who was earlier in VHP, and VHP leaders Anil Patel and Dhawal Jayanti Patel to bring out the truth.

The BJP reacted sharply saying Tehelka.com was acting as "CIA (Congress Investigating Agency) and it was a collusive sting which could hardly be called investigative journalism." Party spokesman Prakash Javedekar said the "dirty tricks department" of the Congress was at work again in view of the Assembly elections in Gujarat.

None of the leaders caught on camera in the expose was available for comments, except Gujarat VHP leader Dhawal Jayanti Patel who said Bajrangi had not talked to him during the riots and he had not seen the sting operation.

Bhatt was purportedly caught on tape saying he was present in a meeting in which Modi allegedly gave him three days time "to do whatever they wanted".

"After three days, he (Modi) asked to stop and everything came to a halt," Bhatt said adding the Chief Minister thanked them after the Naroda Patiya masssacre.

The magazine claimed Dhawal Jayanti Patel told its undercover reporter that the VHP activists made lots of bombs in a factory owned by him.

A BJP MLA was shown as saying they even made rocket launchers which were used in the pogrom. It also claimed that it has exposed "a trail of lies and coercions" that establishes the fire in coach S-6 of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra on February 27, 2002 was a case of spontaneous mob fury and not a pre-meditated conspiracy as stated by the Gujarat government.

When I wrote smth against those Gujarati Animals some desi islamicans who at the same time are hindu-lovers cursed me out. They were saying Gujarati Hindus are minority and crap like that. I don't know much about India but I know one thing: those hindus who killed innocent muslims need to be punished.

A lot of Indian "muslims" have Indian interests at heart. They claim to be Muslim but in reality support Hindus and practice Hinduism. They consider themselves Muslims but have observe Hindu culture. They also are Takfri against other sects, despite the fact they are the most obnoxious and uncivilised people on earth. We won't treat them any differently to their hindu and sikh cockroach brethren.

like hindu culture isnt alive and well in pakistan, a country what only 60 years old and carved out of the ruins of british india.

besides aryan your not even a muslim to begin with, your a self-proclaimed athiest, remember?

you claim to speak for the independence of kashmir. do you include pakistan occupied kashmir in that equation too?

^ actually not all of pakistan have hindu culture , its mainly among punjabis and sindhis. northern areas, pathans, balochis, never had hindu culture.

also the muslims who like to side with india and hate pakistan usually tend to be secular muslims.

why should muslims in india have to side with pakistan in everything? when they do, they are called traitors just for cheering for pakistan in a dam cricket match. they are called 'anti-national' accused of being terrorists, working for "ISI" etc. and what do they get for it? can any muslim in india cross the border into Pak? HELL NO, pakistani citizens trapped in bangladesh cant even do that!

I think Kashmir should put it's future to referendum because it hasn't been given a chance to so far. And yes that includes Pakistani Kashmir, as well as Afghanistan and Chinese occupied Kashmir. And I don't claim to speak for anyone but myself.
