the word is colloquial and has multiple definitions. Here it just means some bit of trivia. Sometimes a bit of trivia that is not really relevant to anything but just presented for general interest. When I googled that definition you gave, right underneath it was another definition: "A brief, somewhat interesting fact."

There are plenty of Pathans in the West who are totally ignorant about what other Pathans living in Pakistan or Afghanistan think about some topic. I'm not saying you're one of them, you probably arent. But membership in an ethnic group doesnt automatically confer knowledge to people

you seem to forget that Pakistan was once part of India too. But see they spoke Urdu, the official langauge of Pak, but the Sindhis just couldnt stand that these people were speaking Urdu, and held onto thier own customs that hailed out of the Muslim regions of Northern India, such as Owadh (present-day lucknow). And if your talking about the Mughal's crying for the pathans, that region was under thier dominion, and if they called up soldiers from that region, then the state has the right to do so.

What Musharaf claims is up to him...

well it is a muslim homeland, especially for muslims of the sub-continent. otherwise there is no basis for the creation of pakistan.

if pakistan is not a muslim homeland, then on what basis can pakistanis claim the indian state of kashmir? the indian union's only Muslim majority state, the only state throughout the Union where Urdu is the official langauge in the state?

if the only muslim-majority state in india cannot be a member of the union, then how can muslims continue justify living in india? they will tell all muslims to head straight to pakistan! and given that pakistan's own citizens have been dwelling in refugee camps for the last 35 odd years in bangladesh, its pretty obvious that they wont accept the indian muslims into pak.

i never claimed to be pakistani. but the fact remains pakistan is still the Muslim homeland, if you cant accept that, then its time to undo partition and then you wont have to worry about the indian state of kashmir. on what basis can you claim kashmir then?
