Literalism in Islamic terms means those who interpret the verses of the Quran with little or no reference to hadith strictly on their arabic meaning in order to prevent Islam from being practiced.

They are known as Murjia because they reject Sunnah.

Those who allege hidden meanings are Batiniyyah

wahabi propoganda. of course most muslims to believe in the hadeeths, but you are not prescribed to follow it, nor did the prophet himself ever say to write down the hadeeths and follow it. most of the collections of the hadiths were simply his own opinion, and he made it very clear tha tthe quran is the ultimate authority. he certainly wouldnt want all of you to be copying him in every way imagine, since you like to use terms alot, that my frind is shirk, and if the prophet were alive today, he would tell you that.

literalist terms mean, when wahabis say that the quran says that slavery is allowed, therefore we should all own slaves then? the quran says to beat your wife or admonish her, therefore we should all start beating our wives. of course you were to look at it in its literalist context this is the interpretation you would come up with. but it doesnt work like that, certain rules and regulations are attached to certain things, in order to trick the reader to stop doing what he is doing, without actually prohibiting certain actions. quran allows four wives right? therefore we can all have four wives. no we cant, cuz your first wife has to agree to it, and then you have to treat them equally, financial and emotionally you cant show favoritism and thats next to impossible to do. thus tricking the reader to stop polygamy. which the jahil arabs did when they had thousands of wives.

So if we dont follow the hadith and only follow the quran...then you ur self tell us...if the quran say Slavery is allowed, then we dont follow it cuz we dont wanna be literalist? You first say don't follow the HAdith but then dont listen to the QURAN either? Once again read what u write. And your first wife DOES NOt need to give you permission to marry the second. STOP SAYING STUFF WITHOUT SHOWING SOME EVIDENCE!!

"
Marriage from multiple women in Islam might not be allowed for those who might result in damaging the society with their marriage by bringing more illiterate, poor, and in many cases starving children to the society.

Let us look at Noble Verse 4:3 "If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice."
Notice how Allah Almighty allowed polygamy only for helping the orphans (more women are needed to take care of the Muslims' and infidels' orphans after every battle.) Notice also how Allah Almighty ordered the men to be either fair to their wives or else to never marry more than one wife.

Let us look at Noble Verse 4:129 "Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."

Here we clearly see that Allah Almighty tells men that they will never be fair to their wives.

Let us see why then Allah Almighty temporarily ordered polygamy but yet very highly discouraged it, and why I personally believe from the Noble Quran that polygamy should not be allowed today to most Muslim men in the Muslim world."

no one is saying is 'goofy wahabi' are we? if your so upset that its one of allah's names, then why did your founding father use its name? a wahabi is a follower of abdul wahab, who in turn was a follower of the 12th century theologian ibn thamiyah. they believe in the literalist interpretation of th Quran, and that quran was meant to be interpreted in literalist form. thats not bashing them, any wahabi will agree with that statement.

first off your not making anysense as usuall. i suggest when you read posts, read over them very carefully, because you seem to have a hard time understanding them. i never said that Muslims dont follow hadeeth's, of course we do, such as when we pray namaz, or when we hold eid in the eidgahs. these are not prescribed in the quran, but are simply sunnah. this eid just past, do you know how many mosques held eid namaz in thier mosques? does this make them bad people? does this mean that they are now all kaffirs for doing so? no, because the quran doesnt say you must hold eid namaz in the eidgah and thats my point there. second off, where did i say dont listen to quran? just how in the world did you figure this out? now what im going to write, please read it very carefully and very slooooooooooooooooowlly, because you obviously have difficulty with your reading comprehension.
.................................................. .......
.................................................. ......

ok are you ready now tariq?

i wrote that the quran was never meant to be taken in its literalist form, because for example, the quran wanted to wipe out polygamy by stating that you must not only treat them equally, but you must feel for all of them on equal basis emotionally. which is next to impossible to do, thereby tricking the reader to stop doing polygamy without actually prohibiting it. and yes you must take permission of your first wife, the only one who makes up stuff is yourself.

but since you like to take a literalist approach, i have decided to take up a new slave, and that would be you. and dont worry, ill have you in chains and shackles in no time.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairwoman, former prime minister and opposition leader Benazir Bhutto holds a press conference 19 October 2007 in Karachi. Hours after Benazir returned from eight years in exile at least 130 people were killed and hundreds more injured in bomb attacks October 18. Thousands of supporters and onlookers gathered on the route she was to take from the airport into the center of the city. Bhutto condemned the attacks on democracy.

you know bill clinton had her on the white house desk.

what i cant stand about her, is her daam princess mentality. she thinks because daddy zulfiqar was PM, who worked hard to get to that position, she deserves to be PM just for being his daughter? she never had to rise up the ranks to that post, the way daddy zulfiqar did.

and the other thing i cant stand, is that they always pronounce her last name wrong in the media. its not 'bootow' its 'bhattooo'.
