Default Iran's Victory Party (pics)

A few thousand Mousavi supporters may be protesting, but millions are celebrating. Please note the below pics are from Tehran (where supposively Ahmedinejad doesn't have any supporters).

It won't let me post anymore attachments but you can find some more pics here:

and here the original source (if you can stumble around the farsi):

Found a video clip of the rally.

The rally is at "Vali Asr Square" which is in Tehran. His speech starts at 4:15 for those who want to skip to that...

Plus some more pics:

So we see that FARS NEWS AGENCY is not having any trouble posting pictures on the internet and spreading them around the world. They must have a good IT department, because a whole lot of other news outlets in Iran are shut down right now.

Really? Like which ones?

I've accessed multiple news sources from iran and they all seem to be going fine. I've accessed IRNA, Farsnews, IRIB, PressTV, Pastimes. I don't really access any others but just confirmed that each one of those is up and has recent posts.

Actually - I've even visited some pretty anti-iran/anti-ahmedinejad blogs that had pics posted, videos posted and were regularly being updated.

Well, I just failed on IRIB (and on FARS), I got through on PressTV and they don't have a single mention of the unrest, etc. What are these other links you found coming from within Iran? On second thought, if that list is where you spend your time, then maybe you aren't interested in pointing people to more "raw" sources of information from within Iran.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. The question of whether Khamenei will survive this is already starting to float about. There was doubt about his qualifications to start with, and it looks like wheels are starting to turn.

Should get interesting.

Shame on Iran for shutting down the government funded news station IRIB. lol.. If anything that's the one that should be up if the government is intentionally shutting down news.

PressTV -> First link on top is regarding protests: Sporadic protests continue until dawn

I"m not really sure what you're trying to prove. So far you're made yourself look like someone who is unknowledgeable about the region yet enthusiastic about sharing his opinion. (Not sure if that's waht you're going for).

Here is an anti ahmedinejad blogs coming out of Iran. As raw as you can get:
M A K T U O B | Mohajerani | Diary

The truth is you accept everything you hear in the news without verifying for yourself.

The only people questioning whether Khamenai will survive this are people like you that get over excited by propaganda and have very little actual knowledge of the region.

Nothing like real-time.

I'm getting no response from your link, and the blog is in Farsi so I'll have to take your word for it that it's freely reporting the protests from within Iran. I don't see any pictures.

I'm not making this up. Are you denying that the Iranian regime is shutting down communication routes of various types (sms, web sites, etc.), as is being reported by the media most everywhere?

Tried your PressTV link again - "Server Busy"

I just accessed PressTV. Top Story title is, "Civil Pro-Mousavi rally turns ugly, shots fired"

They must be strategically only allowing Ahmedinejad Supporters to access their website. Must be a super intense IT department. Even us advanced "westerners" can't filter sites from the other end. Or maybe your government is censoring it. Where do you live again?

I can't comment on SMS (just based on the fact I have no knowledge of the current SMS status in Iran) but in terms of website, I have seen multiple sites operating out of Iran including those which are negative towards Ahmedinejad. A lot of those news outlets that are reporting it must be biased. None so far have listed which website is blocked. Actually i can say that no websites out of Iran that i've tried to access have been down. I can't confirm I've accessed every website out of Iran but definitely enough to say the stuff being reported in the media is BS.

OK, I'll drop this because it's getting absurd. I just got another timeout on PressTV, but that could just be because it's busy. It's kind of moot - lots of images are getting out anyway.

You win. It was wholly unfair of me to accuse the regime of censorship. I now consider them to be paragons of press freedom.
